ALBERTA SANDA FEDERATION
The Alberta SANDA Federation is a non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of SANDA (Sanshou).
SANDA is stand-up fighting with take-downs.  There is no submission and the fight is stopped once any fighter touches down with anything other than their feet.  No knees/elbows in amateur, but (Professional) SANDA in China currently is fought in a ring and allows knees.
  • The bouts are generally on mats for local events,  stepping off the mat is a loss of 2 points.   The bouts will be on a platform at Worlds (see vid link).
  • Clinch is limited to about 2 seconds of inaction, otherwise match is halted if there is no progress or attack.
